Sample Schedule


Your specific high school spring training schedule may vary. Schedule below is simply a sample. Most teams are here for at least 5 days. The most popular arrival and departure days are Saturdays and Sundays. We will customize your trip based on your specific arrival and departure dates. This allows you the flexibility to book flights with the best (lowest) rates.

  • Please remember to bring water coolers.
  • Teams bring practice balls and game balls.
  • Teams each provide game balls per game (Baseball: 4 game balls per team, per game. Softball: 2 game balls per team, per game.

Day 1 – Arrival Day

  • Flight arrives Tampa Int’l Airport 11:00am
  • Stop for lunch then come to the complex for practice. Clubhouse is available for the team to change into practice gear.
  • Practice 1:00pm-3:30pm @ Baseball City
  • Check-in at the Dolphin Beach Resort 4pm
  • Attend 7pm College Baseball Game @ Eckerd College

Day 2

  • Breakfast 7:00am @ Eckerd College
  • Practice 9:00am-11:00pm @ Baseball City
  • Game 1:00pm @ Baseball City
  • Dinner 7:00pm @ Eckerd College

Day 3

  • Breakfast 7:00am @ Eckerd College
  • Mini-workout in the cages & on the 1/2 infield 9:30am @ Baseball City
  • Game 1:00pm @ Baseball City
  • Dinner 7:00pm Eckerd College

Day 4

  • Breakfast 7:00am @ Eckerd College
  • Practice 8:30am-10:30am @ Baseball City
  • Game 1:00pm @ Baseball City
  • Dinner 7:00pm

Day 5

  • Breakfast 7:00am @ Eckerd College¬†
  • Game 10:00am @ Baseball City
  • Practice 1:00pm-2:30pm @ Baseball City
  • Dinner 7:00pm @ Eckerd College

Day 6

  • Breakfast 7:00am @ Eckerd College
  • Game 10:00am @ Baseball City
  • After the game: Hang out on the beach or at hotel pool
  • Dinner 7:00pm
  • Attend MLB Spring Training Game @ 7:00pm

Day 7 – Departure Day

  • Check out of the Dolphin Beach Resort early (check out is by 11am)
  • Breakfast 8:00am @ Eckerd College
  • Visit Legends Field in Tampa and/or Int’l Mall (both are near Tampa Int’l Airport)
  • Flight departs Tampa Int’l Airport @ 3:00pm

All games are officiated by FHSAA umpires and played by FHSAA rules.

Varsity Game Rules:

  • All games will be played as 7 inning games (baseball), and 6 inning games (softball).
  • A coin toss before the game will determine the home team.
  • Each game will have a 2 hour and 45 minute time limit. No new inning can start after 2 1/2 hours.
  • Each team will be have 15 minutes before game time for pre-game infield/outfield.
  • The ten-run rule will be in effect after 5 innings.
  • In the event a game cancellation due to inclement weather, efforts will be made to complete the game at a later time or reschedule the game based on teams’ schedules.

JV Game Rules same as above except:

  • No new inning shall start 2 hours after the first pitch of the game.
