Professional and College Baseball Games

MLB Spring Training (mid-Feb. through end of Mar.) 

The St. Petersburg/Clearwater area is the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees. Entrance to spring training workout sessions at area complexes is free.


MLB Regular Season (Apr. through Sept.)

The Tampa Bay Rays play Major League baseball at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.


Minor League Baseball (Apr. through Sept.) 

Numerous Florida State League teams call the area home. The Clearwater Threshers are a Class A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Dunedin Blue Jays are a Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Tampa Yankees are a Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees. All play games in the area from April through September.


College Baseball (Jan. through May) 

Division II Eckerd College plays home games in St. Petersburg, and Division II University of Tampa plays home games in Tampa. Division I and Big East Conference member University of South Florida plays home games in Tampa.

Junior College program St. Petersburg College plays home games in Clearwater and Hillsborough Community College plays home games in Tampa.


Beaches and Other Attractions

Award-winning beaches including Fort De Soto Park in St. Peterburg voted America’s #1 beach in 2005 and Caladesi Island State Park in Clearwater/Dunedin voted America’s #1 beach in 2008!

Salvador Dali Museum, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island Water Park, the Florida Aquarium and numerous other entertainment venues are nearby.
